My first Christmas!

We missed everyone - but had a cozy day with presents and turkey! By the way - love my highchair - thanks Aunt Dee!

Santa and Da Da

I've had a busy last couple of days. I had Christmas lunch with Mommy's friends from work and then took a bath and dried off with my new towel from Aunt Margot. Then I got to sit on Santa's lap! But the highlight was that I can now say "Da Da!"

Sweet potatoes rock!

So Grammy & Poppy sent this cool steamer mixer and mom made me some sweet potatoes - YUM! Shauna was a little better at getting it into my mouth than mom though. Dad thinks if I eat enough of them I'm sure to become a red head! And just another day at the office!

Christmas parties galore!

Tis the season to stay up late - and that's what I did last night at our party! Lots of kids running around - but we collected a lot of food for the SF Food Bank (thanks to everyone who brought some!) Today we are chilling and taking lots of naps before we head out to 2 more parties this afternoon!!

I ate cereal!

Today I ate cereal for the first time - it seems ok - just a little messier than milk.
Auntie Marija came to visit - she missed me while I was away.

Also mom dresssed me to go visit Santa - but I had other ideas so there are some pics with my cool outfit - but none with Santa. Maybe another day!

Thanksgiving in DC!

Kai and I went to spend the week in DC for Thanksgiving and David took a red eye to join us Thanksgiving Day. David missed Boyd's clan as they drove through the day before. Kai had lots of fun with family, family & more family! We also went walking around the mall and saw the White House and went to the zoo! Aunt Liz also did our first family photo shoot! We miss everyone already!

Halloween Festivities Continue!

We started in costume on Friday at Baby Bootcamp in the rain. Daddy came home and we went trick or treating on Fair Oaks - a couple blocks near our house that are blocked off. Saw lots of cool outfits and decorations!

Then Saturday night we went to Uncles Russell and Jim's wedding where we were all in a Palin Parable Pageant!

It's Halloween!

Had loads of fun today with my playgroup. We wanted to roll around but the moms made us put on these ridiculous costumes and get our pictures taken. William & I were both dragons!

Also love my Ramones onesie, new outfits I grew into and my new crib! And still gurgling and wiggling away!

Kai Hikes Tennessee Valley -First Ocean Visit

We started off the week with a visit from the Ochals from Chicago - that was fun!

My big events this week were turning over all by myself and moving into my own room! I like the space and no more snoring (I'm not naming names!) I really like to chew on everything now too!

And today (Poppy's birthday he's 68 by the way) - a beautiful sunny day in SF, we decided to cross the Golden Gate Bridge to find some fog and hike down to the ocean! But I was dressed for the weather!

The See-Kai-Grow Fan Club

So Mom and Dad didn't think they wanted to do a blog about me. However, I apparently have quite a fan club out there that lives far away. They are interested in seeing me grow and do all my neat tricks like cooing, wriggling and almost turning over. And now that I am 3 months old, Mom isn't as deliriously exhausted and has actually taken a few pictures and videos.

The idea is that everyone will get an invite to see my blog and then can check later for updates. That way Mom and Dad don't have to keep bombarding people with e-mails but my true blue fans can keep up to date!

Let me recap the first three months of my life for those of you who may have missed it - or only gotten some of the important facts.

Stats:
Born July 2 at 10:28 am (after 57 hours of labor) 8 lb 7 oz and 21"
One month 11.5 lbs and 22"
Two months 14.5 lbs and 24.5"
Three months 16.5 lbs and 25"

I've already had lots of out-of-town visitors! Grammy was here at my birth, then Poppy, then Aunt Margot, and then Aunt Liz. Shauna multiple times from Portland and her husband Daniel too! Ana, the whole way from Spain, came too. Then I went to the east coast over Labor Day to meet all my cousins etc - every cousin held me and even lots of second cousins - except of course the two born after me - Jane and Evelyn! Megan, Liz and Grammy held a wonderful shower and mom's best friend growing up Raja came down from Boston to attend! BJ visited when we got back! Cousin Carolyn and daughter Lauren all the way from North Carolina! And of course Auntie Marija that lives downstairs! And our most recent visitor - cousin Jane!
